Guess who's back!

Guess Who's Back!

So after a long absence from my tree planting I am back and picked it back up again! So far I don't have much going on right now in the way of plants but I got a few things in the works right now. I got some Royal Gala Apple seeds in stratification right now in my fridge and I also got some Lemon seeds and Pomegranate seeds planted in my terrarium in separate pots obviously.

I'm going to try to bonsai one of the Pomegranates as well as one of the Lemons. I'm also going to try to grow three lemon trees in one pot to make a nice bushy plant, we'll see how that goes. But other than that guys there's not much to post on as of yet, my next updates will be a lot bigger and better so stay tuned!

Smelling Of Onions!

Well, as I mentioned in the last post I planted the bottom half of an onion and guess what? It's sprouted up and growing quite quickly! The only down of this is that now my plant room has a faint smell of onions haha. I've read that you can cut the greens off to use as green onions or let it grow and you'll get an actual onion. I am going to let mine grow to see if it actually produces another onion. Wish me luck!
On another note my Avocado Tree is roughly about a foot tall now. It ia growing so quickly and the leaves are just about ready to open up now too which is quite exciting.
My Lemon Trees are now a little over 4 months old. They are getting so big. I've gotten rid of a few of them and I'm not goingto lie, I kind of miss them haha. But I think they are all in good homes where they will be taken good care of.
On a complete opposite note I wanted to talk a little about some of my pets. I'm not sure if I posted about this or not but I have recently adopted a baby bearded dragon. I found him at work with on of his feet bitten off from one of the other bearded dragons so I took him home and he is doing fantastic. We have named him Stampy and he is quite the energetic little fellow. Also his foot is completely healed up. I am also getting an African Grey Parrot that I named Jimmy. He is still at my work but will be home with me soon. He brightens up my day everytime I see him. He gets so excited to see me. I have taught him how to shake hands and give kisses and so much more. He really is the best.
But anyways, that's all for now.
Until next time!

Fruit Trees In B&W As Well As Some New Plants!

Fruit Trees In B&W As Well As Some New Plants!

Well, I have been updating a little more lately due to all of my trees growing so quickly as well as I'm always trying to plant new things. My Avocado is the latest thing to sprout up but I decided to continue to try new things. So the other night I was able to plant the few Key Lime Trees I had left and put the rest of the seeds I had left into germination.
I just recently tried planting the bottom half of an onion to see if it will grow. It's day number two right now and so far there is nothing to show if it is growing or not, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that in a few days time I will see some kind of growth sprout up out of the soil!

I have also put five Royal Gala Apple seeds into stratification two days ago as well and when my fiance came into the kitchen tonight while I was working on a new project all that was said was "What now?" hahaha. I simply just said "Pomegranates." Which is another reason why I am updating tonight. I have thrown a lot of seeds into germination and straight out planted about roughly fifteen seeds right into soil. I want to try both ways to see which works better.

Anyways, I am now going to post some pictures of my trees that I took in black and white. Hope you all enjoy them!

I'm Like A Proud Plant Mother!

I'm Like A Proud Plant Mother!

It seems crazy to me that I planted my first fruit trees (My Lemons) on May 15th, 2013, and now they are almost four months old! What is also crazy to me is how many other fruit trees I have been able to plant and manage to get to sprout successfully. I am so proud of what I have been able to achieve so far with my fruit trees and also very thankful for those of you who choose to read my blog and share the experiences with me.
I have begun to get quite the green thumb lately where I have dedicated an entire room in my house to being my "Plant Room" where I let no one enter alone haha. Overprotective? Maybe a little. But when you have as many animals as I have, you would be too. My cats and dog are always trying to get into my plant room and I just won't have it haha!

As you may know, I have been able to grow several different kinds of fruit trees over the past five months. I now have Lemons, Pink Grapefruit, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Orange, Kiwi, Key Lime, Avocado, Golden Delicious Apple, and Asian Pear growing. I am now thinking about starting up my own herb garden as well. I think it would be nice to be able to have my own favorite herbs growing in my house so I can cook with very fresh herbs that I have grown myself. Mint, Basil, Dill, Rosemary, the options go on and on and on. I will continue to grow my fruit trees and other plants that I can get my hands on as well though.

I'm thinking about doing some videos for a Youtube channel to give video updates as well as updates on my blog here and to show people first hand how exactly I choose to germinate and grow my fruit trees from seeds. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Anyways, before I go, you know I took some more pictures today to show you guys how my plants are growing, so here they are!
